In our cultural era so frequently defined by offense, there is an increasing need for God-honoring, people-loving Christians who aren’t afraid to represent Jesus in real and undeniable ways.
In my lifetime, I have never witnessed a time of such great unrest among all groups of people, whether divided by skin color, sexual orientation, religious alignment, or political preference. I can’t recall any season of my life when those around me have been more obsessed with the offenses of life and less obsessed with the hope found only through Jesus. Yet there does seem to be a turn—a fresh influx of spiritual vitality and life.
I am seeing A NEW WAVE OF JESUS that is crashing over our culture of students in a way that I have never seen and perhaps not seen before. It is causing students to connect with Jesus and his Church in profound ways. They aren’t leaving. They aren’t dreading the weekly trek to the church house…because the church is embracing change and embracing Jesus more than ever!
The students with whom I am directly involved are catching fire—they are pumped up about Relevant’s “Pulse” student ministry, what Jesus is going to do through it, and how there are opportunities for them to invite and bring their friends to a cool atmosphere where they just might have their lives changed! They aren’t ashamed of the Gospel because they know it’s the power of God for salvation!!
There is A NEW WAVE OF JESUS about to crash over our world and it isn’t in the form of the elders, the middle-aged, or even the 30-something’s—it is in the form of students!
