Who does the Bible say Jesus is?
We believe that God created the world and everything in it, including you. Scripture indicates that he desires an ongoing personal relationship with you that begins by trusting in his Son, Jesus Christ, and develops as you follow Jesus.
Many people believe that Jesus lived, that he was a good teacher, and a very spiritual man, but they deny that he is God. That is not the Jesus of the Bible. We believe the Bible is the sole authority and is God’s story of salvation through Jesus Christ. There are so many facts and evidences that validate the truth of the Scriptures. So who does the Bible say Jesus is?
The Bible teaches us several important truths about Jesus that are imperative to our understanding of salvation and the forgiveness of our sins…
Jesus was the only Son of God.
Jesus was God in the flesh.
Jesus lived a sinless life.
Jesus paid the penalty for sin.
Jesus is alive.
Jesus is the only way to God.
Jesus desires a relationship with you.
Salvation is received through turning away from our sin (repentance) and turning toward God by asking for and receiving his forgiveness through his only son, Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus—believing who he says he is and trusting him for the forgiveness of sins—is the sole basis for one’s salvation (1 John 1:9, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9).
