Trust me when I say that “You don’t wanna miss Pulse tonight!” We’re going to be hitting the subject of loving ourselves. Let today’s read serve as a continuous reminder, whether you make it tonight or not, that right thinking about yourself leads to right thinking about everyone else.Do you ever think badly about yourself?

Things like “I’m such a failure,” “I can’t do that,” and “I don’t have enough???”

These phrases cripple our ability to be what we are: powerful walking forces of change chosen by God.

Instead, let’s toss out all those trashy things we say about ourselves and replace them with things the Lord has said about us.

Instead of confessing “I’m such a failure,” confess that you’re destined for victory!
1 Corinthians 15:56

Instead of confessing “I can’t do that,” confess that you can do all things through Christ!
And, instead of confessing “I don’t have enough,” confess that Jesus is your provider, and that everything you need is in him!
Philippians 4:12-13

H/W Challenge
Find that list you made yesterday about how you think of yourself. If anything doesn’t line up with what God says about you, even if its hard to believe, cross it off of the list.

Start a new list today. One that you keep close all summer long. Begin writing down anything that God has to say about you from this point on. There are at least three (above) to get you started. Making this list, reading it from time to time, and taking a minute to pray and thank God for speaking the truth over your life…will change everything about how you see yourself and how you live your life in the future!

Pray
Father, you have spoken a lot of strong words over my life. Your bible is full of things that can change me. Help me to see and believe those things for the rest of my life. Change my life through Jesus. Amen.
