Does your life reflect your faith in Jesus?

That’s a huge question and one that we don’t ask ourselves frequently enough. The honest answer to that questions can serve as a motivation for you this summer. We all know that school days are much busier and filled with negative influences than the summer time. So there is no better time than now to get your life in line with your faith.

Last week we learned about some big names in the history of our faith. Their lives serve as a great example for ours. While they are great examples, Jesus is a perfect example. I mean, He never gave in to a temptation even though He faced many opportunities. He always did the right thing at the right time. And while we will never live up to that kind of perfection, Jesus encourages us to do our best.

One of the many things Jesus taught His people to do in order to match their life up with their faith in Him is called the 4-T commitment. He taught about the importance of committing our time, our talents, our treasures, and our temple to God just like He did!

Check back each day this week as we tackle each of these areas of our life. For today, its important for us to understand that Jesus’ life wasn’t a piece of cake. He went through a lot just like we do today to keep our faith on track.

Hebrews 4:15 says:
“We have a Chief Priest (Jesus) who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but He didn’t sin.”

Prayer
Father, I believe that Jesus went through a lot of tough situations and faced a lot of tough temptations. I believe that through it all, He never failed as I often fail. He never gave up as I often give up. He always did His best and I don’t. I want to be more like Jesus! Help me be more like Jesus! Thank you! Amen.
