Repentance

Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'” —Acts 2:38

Repentance is how we break the cycle of sin. It’s a big word with a pretty straightforward definition: Repentance is a change of heart that leads to a change in behavior.

When we sin, the regret we feel leads us to want to change. We confess our sin to God and to each other and ask for forgiveness. But simply confessing sin doesn’t always lead to change. Only when we take steps to change our behavior can we show we’ve truly repented.

If you’ve been holding in sin, you can let go of it today.
