Relevant Church is a place where it is okay to not be okay, and because of that, it’s a place where life-change takes place. Numerous people walked through Relevant's doors in 2018 only to see Jesus change their lives forever. While this annual report is full of numbers and statistics, remember that every number has a name, every name has a story, and every story matters to God!

Outreach & Partnerships
Because of your generosity, more than $203,000 was invested in local, national, and global outreach in 2018. Here's a snapshot of what your giving, serving, and going produced...
Human Trafficking
Partnered with Gigi's House and local law enforcement to fight human sex trafficking in our community and region, and rescue victims from this horrible epidemic. A first-of-its-kind forum drew 285 people and Relevant subsequently collected more than 200 human trafficking rescue kits for victims. The most exciting result was a young lady and former victim who received Christ at the forum and for whom we were able to provide the removal of a tattoo "brand" put on her by her pimp.
“For The Love” Day
As part of our two-year "For The Love" initiative (to serve and reach the Lonely, Overwhelmed, Vulnerable, and Empty), a dozen local projects included: grounds work and maintenance at a special needs school, at Gigi's House, and at a nursing home; feeding the homeless in Atlanta and Henry County; providing a "personal day" of care and blessing for two foster moms and home maintenance for two foster families; beautifying the yards of a single mom, a widow, and an elderly couple; providing doughnuts for all Henry County Fire stations.
Tent or Treat
Partnered with a local special needs organization to serve hundreds of local families with children that have special needs. More than 500 children and their families were provided a "Candyland" experience and invited to R!Kids at Relevant, where they can be loved and introduced to Jesus.
Christmas For A Cause
Relevant's annual Christmas For A Cause helped provide Christmas presents and Christmas dinner at Relevant for 180 kids and their families (80), and donated $2000 to our partner, Caring For A Cause, to host the event. In addition, 150 bikes were donated to deserving children through Griffin-Spalding County Schools and DFACS.
Other Outreach
Additional outreaches during 2018 led to some amazing results, including: provided nearly 1,000 weekend meals to local school children in need through the Backpack Buddies program; hosted Easter outreach events in Griffin and Forsyth with an estimated 7,000 people in attendance; provided 30 dozen doughnuts for teachers at area elementary schools; and hosted a Christmas service and Winter Wonderland in Griffin that drew more than 300 people.
