About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible—Old Testament and New Testament—is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him, but turned their back on God through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. Every Christ-follower has Christian duties to honor God and serve others.
About the Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The Church consists of those who have trusted, by faith, in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world. The Church has set aside the first day of the week to worship God and serve others.
We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the dead. We believe that God will judge all mankind and everyone will spend eternity in either heaven or hell.
We will keep Christ at the center.
We will place our trust in someone, not something because he said he would never leave us or forsake us. His word, the Bible, is our guide to life and godliness.
We will create irresistible environments.
We will embrace our limitations because they inspire our greatest creativity and innovation. We create environments; God changes lives.
We will not do life alone.
We will peel back the masks because authenticity paves the way for authentic relationships. Relationships are vital because you cannot do life alone.
We will give up things we love for things we love more.
We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers. We will always put others above our own agenda.
We will do everything short of sin to reach those far from God.
God did everything short of sin to reach us. We must strive to love everyone the way Christ loved us. Our heart for our neighbors and community must transcend our own likes or dislikes.
We will lead the way with radical generosity.
We cannot out-give God! God took a radical step and sent his son, Jesus, in hopes that we would receive him into our lives. We, too, will have a heart of radical generosity in an effort to make a difference in lives in our community and around the world.
We will be intentional about everything.
We will play hard, but work harder because excellence honors God and inspires people. We will be intentional in our efforts to remain “on mission” in everything we do.
